BioEOS also brings together the 12 partner skills of different multidisciplinary scientific team that combine remote sensing, artificial intelligence, hydrography, ecology, field observations and modelling together with support from conservation managers. This ensures enhanced capabilities to extract requested information.

Thanks to support of experts from MBON (Marine Biodiversity Observation Network), BioEOS ensure taking into consideration biodiversity standards by integrating as much as possible the concept of EBVs (Essential Biodiversity Variables).

 

 

Having obtained the SCO (Space for Climate Observatory) label, BioEOS is funded bythe CNES (National Centre for Space Studies) and DEAL Réunion (French department of the environment, planning and housing). BioEOS also benefits from the institutional support of TAAF (Terres Australes et Antarctiques Françaises, French Southern and Antarctic Territories), RNMR (Natural Marine Reserve of Reunion Island), and the Mayotte Natural Park.
